Powerpoint

Recently I had the pleasure of doing a 3 day induction with Red Cross in Brisbane. After working through the tutorial I noticed that what alot of the presentations did where exactly what is mentioned not to do. 'Death by power point' was the common thought after the dirst day of induction. After enduring this for three days I now have a greater understanding of the importance of creating a powerpoint presentation which is not only informative but also engaging. Just getting through the information is not enough as students need to be given opportunities to discuss what is being presented and time must be given for the students to comprehend the information. Even though the three days were very informative it really pushed home the point of interactive powerpoint presentations.
