Youtube what more needs to be said about this awesome resource! I have utilised this technology for a number of years now. The amount of information available on any topic is valuable for teachers and students alike. I have a massive interest in sport and the physiological aspects involved. Youtube provides myself with a wealth of information in this area. For my students it can be used as a resource for information regarding any assignements they might be working on as it provides simplified examples and visual examples which help in understanding and comprehension.
Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia that can allow anybody to contribute any information they may have on the topic. This is a major reason why Wikipedia should not be relied upon to heavily. However the majority of Wikipedia sites are rather reliable as they have been updated by sources such as journal articles etc.
Slideshare is a resource which allows the users the opportunity to upload their files such as a powerpoint and add music or narration. This type of resource would be rather valuable for the learning manager in particular as it could be used a number of times. They would however need to be updated if need be. Also as it is a shared resource students would be able to have access outside the classroom if they are away for some reason.
Incompetech is a website which allows users to use their music free of charge as all music is royalty free. Both Students and the Learning manager could use this resource to add a variety of jingles, music and sounds to their visual presentations. Due to copyright restrictions and laws it is important that every body follows correct procedures as big fines and penalties could be imposed.
I have added a video which students who are studying H.P.E could watch. This video provides many examples of what a good coach should not do.
